Why "Green Man"?

The Green Man is an ancient symbol which has been found carved into stone architecture throughout Europe and the Middle East. Commonly, the image depicted is a man's face made of leaves with sprouts coming from the nose, mouth, and/or eyes. The Green Man has been used historically to represent a force of nature which always eventually prevails against mankind's effort towards cultivation and reclaims the land back to wilderness.

I chose this symbol as a logo and name to pay homage to the symbolic force I grapple with in my work.

What Sets Me Apart?

Have you ever needed some tree work done and after getting a few outrageous bids, you think "I could do the work myself if there wasn't so much technical knowledge involved in doing it safely." When it comes to tree pruning and falling, the growing wave of DIY home improvers is stopped dead in its tracks by the plethora of videos out there of people destroying their property by attempting DIY tree work.

I have the skills and gear necessary for the technical side of tree work without the expensive overhead necessary to get rid of the material, so I'm able to offer an extremely valuable service at an extremely reasonable price.

Pruning Respectfully

During my time working as an arborist for USU, I worked on dozens of highly values trees which were often close to a century old. Using a non-intrusive, skill-heavy technique (climbing and rigging), we were able to cultivate these trees more carefully and precisely than other conventional methods (using a lift or bucket truck).

Crossing paths with big ancient trees can significantly enrich our everyday lives. I feel passionate about stewarding these resources responsibly and pruning trees for future generations to enjoy, rather than cutting decades from their lifespan by topping them.
